Introducing Epson L4360 A4 Duplex Printer
Replacing Epson EcoTank L4260
Epson EcoTank L4260 has been the entry level printer in the EcoTank range with duplex printing option available. Now Epson is releasing the improved version of this product in India, the L4360 A4 Duplex Colour Printer.
Overview:
The model L4360 has a certain design changes compared to the older model.
The exterior design of the model has been slightly tweaked compared to the older model to give it a more premium look. The printer also has a stacker cover that automatically opens to hold your print and can be closed when you are done printing.
There is a status light that is newly installed on the L4360 which will guide the user on the status of the printer. It can be found above the ink tanks of the printer. The light remains on while the printer is working, if it continues to stay on after rapid flashing there is an error with the printer.
The speed of printing has also been improved from the older model:
10 ipm(Black)/ 5ipm(color) –> 15ipm(Black)/8ipm(color) [ISO Standard print speed]
The new warranty of the printer is now 1 Year or 50,000 prints (whichever is earlier)

Pros and Cons:
The L4360 has some noticeable advantages over its previous model L4260 but it also has a slight disadvantage that might discourage some past customers from upgrading to the newer model.
Lets go over the Pro’s first
It is significantly faster than the older model thanks to it using the newer Epson Precision Core Printhead which also lasts longer than the older piezoelectric printhead.
This printer also has a status light installed in it which is a new feature among the Epson Printers that helps you easily monitor the printer status. But it is not anything significant compared to the new printer head.
Now for the Con’s, this printer has a lower print resolution compared to the older model:
L4260: 5760 dpi X 1440 dpi
L4360: 4800 dpi X 1200 dpi
This difference in the resolution is significant enough that the users of L4260 will feel a drop in print quality. For regular document printing there will not be much difference but you will feel a difference in printing on photo paper compared to L4260.
Conclusion:
The Epson EcoTank L4360 A4 Color printer is an overall upgrade to the older model L4260 providing faster print speeds and longer printer warranty compared to the older model. It has some disadvantages when you compare it’s print quality to older model.
This product will be an upgrade for users who mainly use the printer for document printing and scanning, as it is both a faster print speed then the older model but is also has a better warranty. But for those who have used L4260 for photo printing this printer will not provide the same photo quality.
