Epson Products Expected to See a 3–5% Price Hike Due to Global Tensions and Rupee Devaluation
The recent conflicts in the Iran region have made raw materials for the manufacturing of electronics and printer inks scarce, which is expected to drive up production costs. In addition, the Indian rupee has continued to weaken since December 2025, when it hit a record low of ₹90 per USD. It has now further devalued to ₹93 per USD, making imports significantly more expensive.
Epson previously increased the prices of all its products by 3–4% in December 2025, citing higher import costs. Now, with the combined impact of global instability and currency depreciation, another price adjustment is expected soon.
Canon and other printer brands had already announced similar price hikes earlier in January. Epson is now expected to follow suit with a further 3–4% increase in the coming week.
Customers can therefore expect an upward revision in the prices of printers, inks, and maintenance boxes across all ranges.
